Sublingual tablets treat single allergens and have received FDA-approval. Sublingual drops treat multiple allergens simultaneously, and are an off-label administration of FDA-approved allergen extracts used in allergy shots. No one has attempted to take the sublingual drops through the FDA approval process in the US yet, but we hope this will happen within a few years. In the meantime there is a great deal of international experience and clinical research supporting drops, which we’d be happy to share.
